Best Western Sheldon Park

• Exterior The hotel is a modern building in traditional Georgian style, with canopies over the doors and large white columns.
 
• General The hotel is very impressive. There is plenty of parking available. This property offers extremely good value for money and is within easy reach of the city centre. (BL 07/2007)
 
• Lobby The lobby is medium, with flagstone flooring and rugs, and a sweeping staircase that splits into two directions, with grand bronze lions at the base. There is ample seating.
 
• Location With a large leisure centre nearby, this hotel is ideal for the activity minded and if not, just short ride on the tram from a convenient stop, will bring you in to the heart of Dublin's city centre.
 
• Restaurant There is a themed American style restaurant, with wood flooring and plants, adjoining an American style bar with dark wood furnishings. This is a very lively bar, especially at weekends.
 
• Rooms The rooms vary in size, but are generally medium and kept in very good condition. In addition bathrooms are exceptional. They are bright and spacious, with dark wood furniture, iron and ironing board,

The room was situated on the upper floor which to all appearances was directly beneath the roof. The room had a recessed dormer type window and sharply angled ceiling, making it impossible to stand upright on one side of the bed. There was also noticable water damage from a roof leak which had not been repainted. The room was very small, so the height restrictions where even more pronounced. On both nights stay I was distrubed from 8pm to 2am approximately by the sound of washing machines at various stages of cycle spin.

My stay in the best western Sheldon park hotel was a satisfactory stay regarding the amenities and the room. The room was clean and comfortable, the staff were friendly. Apart from some noisy guests a few doors away who decided to make loud phonecalls in the corridor the stay was a satisfactory.

Had to complain several times aboul things and nothing was satisfactorily resolved. Complained that hotel was cold, particularly my room but would not put haeting on. Hope I never have the misfortune to have to stay at this hotel ever again
